The only way to achieve true peace in Jerusalem

"Because a child is born, a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, so that the increase of his government, and come peace without end upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, for and establish it with justice and righteousness, now and forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this. "(Isaiah 9:6-7)
Every time I talk to someone about the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians, I always hear comments like: "It is hopeless ..." or "Peace between those two people? Impossible! Are you dreaming?" I've heard that even Arabs and Jews. As much as other governments of other nations to commit themselves to promoting peace in the region, can never in fact. There will be an Antichrist who will propose a temporary peace for seven years, but reneged at the proposed mid-term and show their real intention to destroy Israel.
Well, everyone forgets that there will be no true peace in the Middle East if not through the Messiah Jesus Christ. Isaiah says, in the above verses, that one of the names of the Savior is the Prince of Peace That remarkable prophecy began to be fulfilled in the birth of Jesus, 700 years later, as the Scriptures explain in Luke 2:10-11:
"But the angel said unto them, Fear not: behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all people, is that today I was born in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ (the Messiah) the Lord. "
In addition, there is a quotation in Matthew 4:13-16 which refers to the same prophecy of Isaiah:
"... And leaving Nazareth, [Jesus] went to live in Capernaum, located on the seafront in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali-to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: Land of Zebulun, land of Naphtali, Toward the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles [the people who are not of Israel]! The lay people who (lived) in darkness saw great light, and living in the region and shadow of death shone them light. "
The coming of Jesus seals the coming of the Kingdom of God. He is the Messiah. And the prophecy extends to the present day.During this week, pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Psalm 122:6 says:
"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: Be prosper who love you [the Holy City!]."
Pray for Palestinians and Jews (both children of the same Abraham) in their hearts to receive the Lord Jesus as Messiah.Only He can (and will) Middle East peace is an eternal reality.Remember that the prophecy of Isaiah 9:6-7 clearly says: "... that the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end ...". The peace that Jesus brings is genuine, eternal and permanent.
Reading Week: Isaiah 9, Luke 2 and Matthew 4
